The Institute for Popular Theatre made an international gesture with the 2005 Prize of Hope, this year for the first time presenting the award to an American cultural institution.

The Prize of Hope 2005 went to the United States' center for education, development and research in Physical Theatre, the theatre school and producing company of Dell'Arte: The Dell'Arte Players, and The Dell'Arte International School of Physical Theatre, Blue Lake, California, USA.

Every year The Award of Hope is given to an individual or theatre who has worked for the hope of humanity; daring, loving, vulgar, serious, poetic - a flash of energy directed against habitual ways of thinking, which are the greatest threat to our culture - for a world in which people use their own eyes, ears, and voice!
